SPS-S Full Outdoor — Solar Power Station (String)

The SPS-S Full Outdoor is MEINS’s string-type Solar Power Station in its fully weatherproof version: a compact power station designed to be installed directly outdoors at photovoltaic and storage plants. It is the highest-power variant of the SPS-S range and is intended for projects that need to concentrate generation and power evacuation in a single robust, self-contained unit ready for demanding outdoor conditions.

Its design is based on a customised, adaptable approach according to the project’s technology, so that the configuration is tailored to the architecture of each plant. The entire solution is fully suitable for outdoor use and its components are certified for weather-exposed operation, enabling it to run without the need for an additional building or enclosure to protect it.

On the civil works and environmental side, the SPS-S Full Outdoor incorporates an oil containment tank integrated into the frame itself, which significantly simplifies civil works by eliminating external bunds and pits. It is fitted with oil-filled transformers, both mineral and vegetable, and adopts an SF6-free design up to 24 kV, in line with the latest environmental and safety requirements.

On the electrical and control side, it features a customisable low-voltage panel, compatible with both solar string inverters and battery PCS, making it suitable for both photovoltaic plants and storage systems. The connections come factory-integrated, reducing labour and minimising on-site risks during installation.

In terms of performance, the SPS-S Full Outdoor reaches up to 10 MVA and up to 40.5 kV, and is compatible with most brands and models of string-type inverters. The BPS-D (Decoupled) is MEINS’s decoupled Battery Power Station: a prefabricated transformer station designed to connect directly to battery containers that already have their own integrated inverter system. It is the variant of the BPS family intended for commercial storage solutions that incorporate the conversion electronics from the factory.

Its defining feature is precisely that “decoupled” nature: since it does not need to provide the inverter, the BPS-D connects directly to battery containers such as the Tesla Megapack or Powerpack, which already include their own integrated inverter system. The station thus focuses on the transformer and connection function, complementing these turnkey storage systems.

This approach simplifies the project architecture when the battery container already comes with its own power electronics, avoiding duplication of the inversion function and facilitating integration with standardised storage products available on the market.

The BPS-D (Decoupled) is the ideal choice for storage projects based on commercial containers with their own inverter (such as the Tesla Megapack or Powerpack), where a prefabricated transformer station is needed that couples directly to them. Designed for direct connection to battery containers with an integrated inverter system (e.g. Tesla Megapack or Powerpack).
