We are currently looking to incorporate an HSE Technician (Health, Safety & Environment) to strengthen our commitment to occupational health and safety.
Reporting to the HR Department, and in coordination with our external HSE service provider (SPA), this role will act as the internal reference for the coordination, monitoring, and day-to-day management of all health and safety-related activities, ensuring proper implementation of policies, compliance with procedures, and alignment between departments and stakeholders.
👷 Key Responsibilities
Liaison with External HSE Technician (SPA):
- Act as the main point of contact with the external HSE provider.
- Coordinate site visits to workplaces.
- Communicate changes in processes, facilities, or job positions.
- Follow up on reports, risk assessments, and preventive planning issued by the SPA.
Preventive Planning & Internal Coordination:
- Monitor and supervise compliance with safety procedures and preventive measures.
- Develop new safety protocols or adapt existing ones.
- Coordinate actions with HR, production, quality, and site/workshop managers.
- Channel and manage incidents or risks identified by employees.
PPE Management and Control:
- Supervise the condition, availability, and suitability of PPE.
- Identify replenishment or replacement needs.
- Propose new PPE or improvements to existing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable technical and regulatory standards.
- Monitor proper distribution, usage, and record-keeping.
HSE Documentation Management:
- Maintain records of PPE distribution and control.
- Review and track employee HSE training (validity and renewals).
- Support audits and inspections.
Coordination of Business Activities (CAE):
- Act as the main contact for contractor coordination activities.
- Collect and review documentation from contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure suppliers meet HSE access and compliance requirements.
Promoting a Safety Culture:
- Identify improvement areas and safety needs.
- In collaboration with HR, promote training sessions, campaigns, and awareness talks.
- Encourage best practices and compliance with safety procedures.
✅ Requirements
- Intermediate level of English is desirable.
- 3–5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in construction, industrial, or engineering sectors.
- Valid driver’s license (required) for travel between sites (Salamanca–Zamora) and site visits.
- PRL qualifying Master’s degree (desirable, not mandatory).
- Experience with ISO 45001 management systems is a plus.
