The total eligible budget for the SAHG (Solar Aqua Heater Generator) project – a variable renewable thermal energy generator – funded under the Strategic R&D Plan titled “Sustainable Innovation: Towards New Forms of Self-Sufficient Energy Generation,” is €915,837.23. This project has received a grant of €302,226.29, funded through the “2023 STRATEGIC R&D PLANS” aid scheme of the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León. This project may be co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) at
60%, within the 2021–2027 Operational Programme of Castilla y León.
The Strategic Plan includes four high-tech, innovative, and sustainable projects directly related to the production and utilization of cleaner alternative fuels and the capture of CO₂ from the atmosphere. The project will be carried out from December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2026. It falls under Specific Objective i: “develop and enhance research and innovation capabilities and assimilate advanced technologies” of Investment Priority P.1.A “Digital and Smart Transition,” in accordance with Policy Objective 1 “a more competitive and smarter Europe, promoting an innovative and smart economic transformation and regional connectivity to information and communication technologies,” corresponding to the ERDF Operational Programme for Castilla y León 2021–2027.
