At Meins, innovation and technology are the driving force behind all its activities. The company has taken a significant step into the space sector through the participation of Sergio Florez Pastor, member of the R&D&I department and Environmental Sciences graduate from Salamanca, in the European Space Agency’s (ESA) “Prepare for Space” program.
This exclusive program, promoted by the ESA Technology Broker in Spain, will enable deeper development of the project “Terrestrial-to-Space Technology Adaptation and Space Project Management,” focused on technological adaptation and space project management. The sessions center on the ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardization) standards, which are mandatory for all space-related activities in Europe.

The training includes two key areas:
- Engineering Standards (ECSS-E): provide tools to ensure that technological designs can withstand the extreme conditions of space, strengthening Meins’ capacity for technological adaptation.
- Project Management Standards (ECSS-M): cover planning, documentation, and quality assurance following ESA’s rigorous methodology, raising project management competencies to the aerospace level.
The program also offers specialized support for understanding the space supply chain and training in preparing responses to official ESA tenders, reinforcing Meins’ growth in innovation and technological reach.
With this initiative, Meins consolidates its position as a benchmark in technological innovation and space development, reaffirming its commitment to excellence and the training of specialized talent.
