At Meins, we understand that business growth must go hand in hand with responsible management of the impact we generate on our environment. That is why, as part of our continuous improvement and sustainability strategy, we have obtained the UNE-ISO 14064-1:2019 certification, which certifies the proper quantification and evaluation of our Carbon Footprint for the year 2024.
This new milestone adds to our ISO 9001 certification, focused on quality management, and ISO 14001 certification, centered on environmental management, consolidating an integrated system that enables us to work with criteria of efficiency, quality, and respect for the environment across all our projects.
The UNE-ISO 14064-1:2019 standard is an international benchmark that establishes the principles for identifying, measuring, and managing the greenhouse gas emissions generated by an organization. Its application not only makes it possible to accurately understand the company’s real environmental impact, but also facilitates the definition of concrete measures to reduce CO₂ emissions, improve energy efficiency, and move toward a more sustainable and transparent business model.
Scope of the Carbon Footprint at Meins
The certified Carbon Footprint at Meins applies to the following categories:
- Category 1: Direct GHG emissions
- Category 2: Indirect GHG emissions from imported energy
- Category 3: Indirect GHG emissions from transportation
- Category 4: Indirect GHG emissions from products used by the organization
The scope includes our activities related to the integration, installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of transformation centers for photovoltaic inverters and industrial installations, at the sites included in the 2024 greenhouse gas emissions report.
Obtaining this certification represents an important step for Meins, as it allows us to identify opportunities for improvement and continue moving forward toward our goal of reducing CO₂ emissions to the greatest extent possible. It also strengthens the trust of our clients and partners, who increasingly value working with companies committed to sustainability and the responsible management of resources.
This progress is supported by a clear business vision: at Meins, we are firmly committed to environmental stewardship and to the adoption of sustainable policies that help minimize the environmental impact of our activities. We believe that sustainability is not a one-time action, but a continuous process that must be integrated into technical, operational, and strategic decision-making.
The UNE-ISO 14064-1:2019 certification integrates seamlessly with our existing management systems. ISO 9001 ensures the quality and continuous improvement of our processes, while ISO 14001 provides a solid framework for environmental management. Together, these certifications reflect our commitment to a responsible and efficient way of working, aligned with the current challenges of the industrial and energy sectors.
