LIVE THE MEINS EXPERIENCE
We are currently looking for a SUPPLY CHAIN / COST CONTROLLER to join our headquarters in Salamanca.
This role will support both the Sales and Purchasing departments by carrying out the following responsibilities:
1. Cost Control and Analysis
- Calculate, update, and verify material and product costs at different stages of the lifecycle.
- Perform variance analysis against the budget and propose corrective actions.
- Analyze profitability by product line, project, and customer.
2. Sales Support
- Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure competitive and margin-sustainable proposals.
- Review the consistency of materials included in quotations, ensuring prices and costs are up to date.
- Prepare price simulations and “what-if” scenarios to support pricing decisions.
- CRM management: update and maintain the customer database and sales pipeline.
- Analyze commercial KPIs: generate periodic sales, margin, and forecast reports.
3. Reporting
- Prepare periodic reports on costs, margins, and variances.
- Alert the team about profitability risks at early project stages.
4. Purchasing Support and Supplier Negotiation
- Ensure prices reflect market realities.
- Identify alternative, more competitive materials and suppliers.
5. ERP (SAGE 200) Data Management
- Keep the cost and product database updated.
- Review and optimize existing records.
- Actively participate in ERP (SAGE) implementation/improvement, suggesting adjustments that facilitate traceability and cost control.
6. Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Propose initiatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency across the value chain.
- Promote cost control methodologies during product design (Design-to-Cost).
- Collaborate on innovation projects to evaluate the economic impact of new materials/technologies.
- Digitize and improve internal processes: implement tools to automate administrative and control tasks.
7. Coordination and Compliance
- Interdepartmental coordination: act as a liaison between Sales and Purchasing to ensure data and decision consistency.
- Compliance and auditing: ensure supplier documentation is up to date according to internal and external audit requirements.
8. Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility
- Manage sustainability indicators: track carbon footprint, energy efficiency, and suppliers’ social impact, contributing to the company’s ESG objectives.
Requeriments
- 2–3 years of experience in the described functions, preferably in the industrial/electrical sector.
- Experience with sales/purchasing management tools, preferably SAGE 200.
- Advanced Excel skills
